Greatly enjoying Edmund’s perceptive understanding of the young Proust. He provides profound insights which are clearly communicated as one gay man showing the possible feelings and perceptions of another gay man. I’m only half way through his book and already many confusions I had regarding the behaviour of the narrator of “In Search of Lost Time” have now been greatly opened up and elucidated for me by White.
